What is it?

What is women’s health physiotherapy?

It is physiotherapy focused on the pelvis, pelvic floor and the changes a woman’s body goes through in pregnancy, after childbirth and through menopause.

Treatment is hands-on and exercise-based: manual therapy, targeted strengthening, posture and movement advice, delivered privately by a female physiotherapist. It does not replace your doctor or gynaecologist. It works alongside them, inside physiotherapy’s own professional scope.

What we treat

What brings you here? Find the right starting point.

You do not need a diagnosis, or the exact clinical term, to get in touch. If nothing below quite matches, message us and describe it in your own words. We will tell you honestly whether physiotherapy can help. Pessary support is coming soon, with Dr Munaza Ghani, who is MSOMPT-qualified in pelvic health.

A simplified educational model. Your own assessment decides what actually needs attention.

Understanding it

One system,many stages of life.

The pelvic floor, deep abdominal muscles, breath and posture all work together as one system, not isolated parts. Pregnancy, childbirth and menopause each change how that system carries load, which is why the same anatomy can show up as very different symptoms at different life stages.

01

Breath & pelvic floor

They move together. Learning to coordinate them is often the real starting point.

02

Core & posture

Deep abdominal support changes through pregnancy and needs deliberate retraining after.

03

Life stage

Pregnancy, postnatal and menopause each carry different, well-understood patterns of change.

Step by step

Assessment first, then a plan that fits your life.

01

A private conversation

First 15 minutes. Your history, your main concern and what you want from treatment, in your own words, at your own pace.

Illustrative image, not a real patient. A female physiotherapist in a navy hijab and white coat sits on the floor beside a woman lying on a mat, explaining the next step with an open hand.
02

A consent-led assessment

30 to 40 minutes. Movement and function are assessed through simple, comfortable tests. Every step is explained before it happens, and any intimate assessment is optional and separately consented to.

03

Hands-on treatment

Same session. Manual therapy for the areas that need it, using the clinic’s own equipment where appropriate: always explained, never assumed.

04

Your own programme

To take home. A small number of specific exercises, built around your real routine, with clear guidance on what to expect and when to check back in.

Your first visit

What actually happens, and what never does.

Three commitments that hold at every appointment.

01

No internal examination is automatic

It is never mandatory or assumed. Any intimate assessment requires a clear clinical reason, is explained first, and needs your specific consent. You may decline and still be treated.

02

Your “no” needs no explanation

You can pause or stop a session at any point, or ask for a different approach instead.

03

Referral is good care

Obstetric, gynaecological and urogynaecology concerns are referred to the right colleague. Physiotherapy stays inside its professional scope.

Private by design

A women-only space.Your details stay yours.

Appointments are one-to-one with a female physiotherapist, in a private, women-only space. Nothing discussed in your session is shared with anyone else. Pregnancy physiotherapy is provided when your own doctor has recommended it. If you haven’t been referred yet, we can help you understand whether it’s the right next step to raise with them.

Questions

Private questions, straight answers.

Is the clinic really women-only?+

Yes. The space, the clinician and every appointment are women-only. No male staff, and no shared waiting room with other patients.

Can my husband or a family member come with me?+

Yes, if you would like company in the waiting area, or in the room itself for a first conversation. The physical assessment and any hands-on treatment stay private, one-to-one with your clinician, unless you specifically ask for someone to stay.

Where exactly is the clinic, and is it discreet?+

It is a private, home-based clinic in Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore, not a walk-in storefront. We share the exact address and directions after you book, so your visit stays as discreet as you need it to be.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?+

Not to get in touch or ask a question. For pregnancy physiotherapy specifically, we ask that your own doctor has recommended it before your first session, which keeps your care properly coordinated with your obstetric team.

Will I have to remove clothing or be examined internally?+

No examination is automatic or mandatory. Most assessments are external, through movement and simple tests, fully clothed. If an intimate assessment would genuinely help, it is explained in advance and only happens with your specific, separate consent. You can decline and still be treated.

Can I stay covered, or pause for prayer, during a session?+

Yes. Sessions work around modest dress and any timing you need, including prayer. Tell your clinician what you need and the session is built around it. This is your appointment.

How do I pay, and is it covered by insurance?+

Payment is cash or JazzCash at the clinic. There is no insurance billing to navigate. Exact pricing is confirmed when you book.

What if I’m not sure physiotherapy is even the right thing?+

Message us and describe what’s going on in your own words. If it isn’t something physiotherapy can help with, we will tell you honestly and point you toward the right kind of care instead.

Your next step

One messageis enough to begin.

You do not need the right medical words, a diagnosis, or to know which condition matches. Tell us what is going on, and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Women-only · One-to-one · Your details stay between you and your clinician.
